Job title: Pediatric Physical Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team and provide specialized care to children with physical disabilities, developmental delays, and injuries. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the physical health and overall quality of life for pediatric patients through individualized treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients to determine individual treatment needs
- Develop and implement personalized physical therapy plans to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and overall function
- Provide hands-on therapy sessions and exercises tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each child
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and successful treatment outcomes
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document patient responses to therapy interventions
- Educate and empower patients and families on at-home exercises and techniques to enhance therapy results
Qualifications and Skills:
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Certification in Pediatric Physical Therapy (C/NDT) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical or school setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with children and their families
- Knowledge of age-appropriate therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
