Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients of all ages in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and private practices, to help them improve their speech, language, and voice skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting evaluations to identify communication and swallowing disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and voice disorders
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educating patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with individuals with diverse communication needs
