Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans to ensure optimal respiratory function for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform diagnostic tests to assess lung function and oxygenation levels
- Administer medications and therapies to improve respiratory health
- Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilators as needed
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in emergency response situations as part of the healthcare team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- CPR certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
