Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating individuals with communication disorders such as speech, language, and voice issues. They will work with patients of all ages to develop individualized treatment plans to help improve their communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting evaluations to assess each patient's communication disorders.
2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
3. Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and voice abilities.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients.
5. Documenting patient progress and updating treatment plans as needed.
6. Providing education and training to patients and their families on communication strategies.
7. Keeping up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech therapy.
8. Participating in meetings and training sessions to improve clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
3. State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Experience working with individuals with a variety of communication disorders
6. Knowledge of assessment tools and treatment techniques
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
8. Detail-oriented and organized
9. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
