Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for clients based on their individual needs and goals.
- Assist in evaluating patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Conduct therapeutic activities and exercise programs to improve clients' daily living skills, motor coordination, strength, and mobility.
- Teach clients techniques to improve their cognitive, sensory, and physical abilities.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
- Follow established protocols and standards in providing occupational therapy services.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to the practice of occupational therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassion, patience, and empathy towards clients of all ages and abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques, equipment, and technologies used in occupational therapy.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development, including attending seminars and conferences.
