Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to children who have developmental delays, disabilities, or injuries that impact their ability to perform everyday activities. You will work with children and their families to develop treatment plans and interventions to improve their motor skills, sensory processing, and overall independence.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the functional abilities and limitations of children
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Implement therapeutic interventions to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care tasks, and other areas of need
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment
- Provide education and training to families and caregivers on how to support the child's progress at home
- Keep detailed records of treatment sessions, progress notes, and insurance billing information
- Stay current on best practices and evidenced-based interventions in pediatric occupational therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
- Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of child development and pediatric interventions
- Passion for helping children reach their full potential
