We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory therapy to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient outcomes.
Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation.
Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, pulmonary function testing (PFT), and pulse oximetry.
Assess patients’ respiratory status and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
Operate and maintain respiratory equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, and nebulizers.
Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response and code blue events, providing airway management and life-supporting interventions.
Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, disease management, and equipment usage.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapies provided, patient responses, and equipment usage per hospital policy and regulatory standards.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) as required by state law.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials from NBRC.
BLS and ACLS certification (PALS and NRP preferred).
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Experience in acute care or ICU setting preferred.
Hospital or clinical setting including ER, ICU, and general care floors.
Rotating shifts, weekend, and on-call availability may be required.
