Job Description

Job Summary:

The Licensed Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive oral care to patients by diagnosing and treating dental issues, promoting oral hygiene, and performing various dental procedures. The dentist ensures patient safety and comfort while maintaining the highest standards of dental care in a clinical or private practice setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine dental exams, cleanings, and x-rays
Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections
Administer local anesthesia and perform procedures like fillings, crowns, root canals, and extractions
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
Maintain accurate dental records and treatment plans
Supervise dental hygienists and assistants
Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and dental regulations
Stay current with dental innovations and continuing education

Qualifications:

DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
Active and valid state Dental License
CPR/BLS certification
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
Compassionate approach to patient care and comfort
Experience in general dentistry or specialization (optional)
