Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for administering radiation therapy to patients in order to treat cancer and other diseases. You will work closely with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and effective radiation treatments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Position patients for treatment using specialized equipment
- Operate radiation therapy machines to deliver prescribed doses of radiation
- Monitor patients during treatment to ensure their safety and well-being
- Document treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in patient records
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding radiation therapy
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with regulations and standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure as a Radiation Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- Knowledge of radiation therapy equipment and procedures
