Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team and assist in providing occupational therapy services to patients in need. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to help individuals improve their ability to perform daily tasks and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to help patients improve their motor skills, cognitive abilities, and self-care tasks
- Instruct and educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities
- Document patient progress and communicate with the supervising occupational therapist
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Keep up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must hold a valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure or certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy
