Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work alongside Occupational Therapists to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic activities and exercises. Your role will involve assisting with treatment plans, monitoring progress, and providing support to patients in various settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and nursing homes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist Occupational Therapists in evaluating and treating patients under their supervision.
2. Implement therapeutic activities and exercises based on treatment plans.
3. Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with the therapy team.
4. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
6. Maintain equipment and ensure a safe and clean environment for therapy sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- State licensure or certification required for practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
