Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our licensed physical therapists to provide rehabilitation services to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or other medical conditions. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and help them achieve their physical therapy goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and balance
- Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure/certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic modalities
- Experience working with patients in a rehabilitation setting is preferred
