Job Description

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, treat, and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders. They will work with individuals of all ages in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, clinics, and private practices.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Conducting evaluations to assess individual's speech and language abilities.

2. Developing treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing disorders.

3. Providing therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills.

4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients.

5. Keeping detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.

6. Educating and training family members on techniques to support the patient's communication goals.

7. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in speech language pathology field.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.

2. Valid state licensure or certification.

3. Clinical experience in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages.

6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

7. Continuing education to stay current on best practices in speech language pathology.
