Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients. This role involves assisting patients with exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities to help improve their mobility and reduce pain.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by a Physical Therapist for each patient
- Instruct patients on proper exercises and techniques for rehabilitation
- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
- Assist with positioning patients for therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
