Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients of all ages to improve their speech and language skills through various exercises and techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct evaluations to assess clients' speech and language abilities.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific needs.
3. Implement therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, fluency, voice quality, and language comprehension.
4. Provide guidance and support to clients and their families to help them reach their communication goals.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and educators, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
6. Keep detailed records of clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
3. State licensure and/or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
6. Knowledge of current trends and research in speech therapy.
