Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients. This role involves assisting in the implementation of treatment plans and exercises, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and effective therapy environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as prescribed by the Physical Therapist
- Conduct exercises and therapies with patients according to their individual needs
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist
- Provide guidance and support to patients during therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and practices
- Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
