Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitation services to patients with physical injuries or disabilities. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to help improve the lives of others.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with implementing treatment plans developed by the physical therapist
- Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and stretches
- Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting or related field
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and exercises
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
