Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and other physical ailments. You will assist in developing and implementing treatment plans, providing therapeutic exercises and modalities, and monitoring patient progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in assessing and evaluating patients' conditions.
2. Implement and carry out treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist.
3. Provide therapeutic exercises and assist patients with mobility and strengthening activities.
4. Use modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to help patients relieve pain and improve function.
5. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
6. Educate patients and their families on proper home exercises and self-care techniques.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
5. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy techniques.
6. Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting is preferred.
