Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
An occupational therapist is responsible for helping clients develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. They work with individuals of all ages who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate clients' abilities and develop personalized treatment plans.
2. Help clients perform daily activities, such as cooking, grooming, and dressing.
3. Teach clients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
4. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and physical therapists.
6. Provide education and support to clients and their families.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy.
2. State licensure as an occupational therapist.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Experience working with diverse populations.
6. Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment tools and techniques.
