Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Therapist to join our team in providing communication and swallowing therapy to patients with speech and language disorders. The Speech Therapist will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans to improve their communication skills and quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
3. Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills.
4. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
6. Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to improve communication skills.
7. Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of speech therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Valid state license to practice as a Speech Therapist.
3. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
7. Prior experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations.
