Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide quality care and rehabilitation services to patients in need.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans
- Conduct assessments of patients' functional abilities
- Provide hands-on therapy exercises and techniques
- Monitor and document patients' progress
- Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to develop individualized treatment goals
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and adaptive equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a COTA
- State licensure to practice as a COTA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
