Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients with breathing disorders. They work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans to help improve patient's respiratory function.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of respiratory disorders.
2. Administering respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy, and chest physiotherapy.
3. Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
4. Educating patients on proper use of respiratory equipment and techniques.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
7. Responding to emergency situations and providing respiratory support as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
2. Valid state licensure and certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Knowledge of respiratory equipment and technologies.
6. Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
