Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The person in this role will assist physical therapists in providing therapy services to patients to help them recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human anatomy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Instruct patients on exercises and activities to improve strength and mobility
- Monitor patients' progress and report back to physical therapists
- Help patients with stretching and range of motion exercises
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
- Physical stamina to assist patients with exercises
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
