Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide treatment to patients with physical injuries or disabilities. Your role will involve assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, monitoring their progress, and documenting their treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the physical therapist
- Help patients with exercises and stretches to improve their mobility and strength
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and provide feedback to the physical therapist
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Maintain accurate and detailed treatment records
- Assist with equipment setup and maintenance in the therapy room
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
