Job title: Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation physics and the ability to operate advanced radiation therapy equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with the treatment plan
- Monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure accurate delivery of radiation
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment sessions and patient progress
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Educate patients on the potential side effects of radiation therapy and provide support throughout the treatment process
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
- State licensure as a Radiation Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
