Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and provide quality therapy services to individuals of all ages who are facing physical, mental, or emotional challenges. The ideal candidate will assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans to help clients improve their daily living skills and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to clients
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Implement and adapt therapeutic activities to meet individual client needs
- Monitor and document client progress and communicate with the Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state license to practice as a COTA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy
