Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients improve their mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit physical disabilities. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises and stretches
- Monitor and track patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on therapeutic exercises and techniques for at-home practice
- Document patient progress and communicate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment
- Assist in scheduling patient appointments and managing administrative tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with exercises and movements
