Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The primary role of the Occupational Therapist is to help patients recover and improve their daily living skills through therapeutic interventions and activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate patients' physical and mental capabilities to determine individualized treatment plans
2. Develop and implement therapeutic activities to improve patients' functional abilities
3. Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance daily living skills
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients
5. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy
7. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and goals
8. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
3. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
6. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
7. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
8. Proficiency with therapeutic techniques and equipment
