Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in patients of all ages. You will work with individuals who have difficulty with speech, swallowing, and voice production, as well as those with cognitive or physical impairments that affect communication.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting evaluations to assess patients' speech and language skills
- Developing individualized treatment plans to improve communication abilities
- Providing therapy sessions to individuals and groups
- Monitoring and documenting progress of patients
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Educating patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and practices
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Compassion and patience when working with patients
