Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Speech Therapist to provide diagnosis and treatment for patients with communication and swallowing disorders. The Speech Therapist will work with patients of all ages to improve their speech, language, and swallowing skills in order to help them communicate effectively and participate in daily activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
- Provide therapy sessions to improve articulation, language, voice, and fluency
- Assist patients in utilizing augmentative and alternative communication devices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve communication skills
- Keep detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in the field of speech therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with patients of all ages, from children to elderly adults
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Knowledge of assessment tools and treatment techniques for speech and language disorders
