Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will work with individuals who have communication and swallowing disorders to help them improve their speech and language skills. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to help individuals improve their ability to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patients to determine the nature and extent of their communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Provide therapy to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on techniques to support communication and swallowing goals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech therapy
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations
