Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to cancer patients in a safe and effective manner. This individual will work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer radiation treatments according to prescribed protocols
- Monitor patient reactions and report any side effects to the oncologist
- Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure patient confidentiality
- Educate patients on their treatment plans and answer any questions they may have
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Maintain a safe environment in the radiation therapy department
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
- State licensure as a Radiation Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
