Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate COTA to join our team of healthcare professionals. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with physical, mental, or social limitations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a genuine desire to help others, and a passion for promoting independence and improving quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in planning and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients.
- Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate findings to the occupational therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families on how to maintain progress outside of therapy sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- Current certification as a COTA.
- Valid state license to practice as a COTA.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
