Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients. Your primary goal will be to help patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and prevent or recover from injuries. You will work closely with patients to create individualized treatment plans and assist in implementing exercises and therapeutic techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patient needs
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Instruct patients in exercises and techniques for improving mobility and function
- Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and principles
