Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will work with individuals who have difficulty with communication, speech, and language skills. They will assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans to help clients improve their speech and language abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' speech and language abilities.
2. Developing individualized treatment plans to address clients' communication goals.
3. Providing therapy sessions to improve clients' speech, language, and swallowing skills.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
5. Monitoring clients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
6. Educating clients and their families on techniques to improve communication skills.
7. Keeping detailed records of clients' sessions and progress.
8. Staying current on advancements in speech therapy techniques and technology.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
3. State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
6. Experience working with clients with a variety of communication disorders.
7. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech therapy.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
