Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients to develop personalized treatment plans to help them improve their communication and swallowing abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Working with patients to improve swallowing abilities
- Monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educating patients and their families on communication strategies
- Keeping detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Strong communication skills
- Compassion and patience when working with patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of current trends and techniques in speech therapy
