Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help individuals of all ages regain independence and improve their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implementing treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist
- Conducting therapy sessions with clients to improve motor skills, cognitive function, and daily living skills
- Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients
- Educating clients and their families on exercises and strategies to improve function and independence
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
