Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to provide assistance to licensed physical therapists in evaluating and treating patients. The ideal candidate will work closely with patients to help improve their mobility, reduce pain, and increase overall wellness.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in creating and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises and stretches
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress and report findings to the physical therapist
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of therapy equipment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting
- Valid certification or licensure as a physical therapy assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques
- Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting
