Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries and improve their overall physical health. You will assist in developing and implementing treatment plans, educating patients on exercises and techniques, and monitoring progress throughout the rehabilitation process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in conducting patient evaluations and developing treatment plans.
2. Implement therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the physical therapist.
3. Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including manual techniques and modalities.
4. Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions.
5. Educate patients on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care.
6. Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
8. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Excellent physical fitness and manual dexterity.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques.
7. Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
