Job title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities to help them improve their ability to perform daily tasks and lead independent lives. You will assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and help them learn or regain important life skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address clients' goals and needs
- Provide therapy to improve clients' mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive abilities
- Recommend adaptive equipment or modifications to clients' homes or work environments
- Educate clients, families, and caregivers on techniques and strategies to improve daily functioning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of clients' progress and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients of all ages and abilities
- Experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
