Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for accurately delivering prescribed radiation treatments to patients as part of their cancer care plan. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, safety, and adherence to clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and imaging systems.
Accurately position patients and use immobilization devices to ensure precise treatment delivery.
Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions and report concerns to the physician.
Document treatment procedures, patient responses, and any deviations from standard protocols.
Collaborate with the radiation oncology team, including physicists, dosimetrists, and nurses.
Uphold radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self.
Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T).
State licensure (if applicable).
Strong understanding of anatomy, radiation physics, and oncology treatment principles.
Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
Ability to work with precision and care in a high-stakes environment.
Preferred Experience:
1–2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (new graduates welcome to apply).
Experience with electronic medical records and oncology information systems.
