Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work with individuals of all ages to help them improve their speech and language skills, as well as their ability to eat and drink safely.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
2. Developing individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing challenges.
3. Providing therapy sessions to improve patients' speech and language skills.
4. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to support patient progress.
5. Monitoring and documenting patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
6. Educating patients and caregivers on techniques to support speech and language development.
7. Keeping abreast of latest research and techniques in the field of speech therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
2. Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
4. Experience working with patients with speech and language disorders.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
7. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech therapy.
