Job Title: Radiotherapy Therapist - Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Radiotherapy Therapist, you will be responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to cancer patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and position patients for radiation therapy treatment
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment
- Follow treatment plans outlined by radiation oncologists
- Monitor patient's reactions to treatment and report any concerns
- Educate patients on radiation therapy procedures and side effects
- Maintain accurate patient treatment records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or a related field
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure as a Radiation Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols
