Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Your goal will be to help clients improve their communication and swallowing abilities to enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
3. Implement therapy techniques to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills.
4. Monitor and track progress of clients and adjust treatment plans as needed.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, caregivers, and educators to provide comprehensive care.
6. Educate clients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
2. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
3. State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
4. Clinical experience in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
7. Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and intervention strategies.
