Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate Speech Therapist to join our team and provide comprehensive speech therapy services to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. The Speech Therapist will work closely with patients to improve their speech, language, and communication skills, as well as address any swallowing difficulties.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and goals.
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, and fluency.
- Teach patients techniques to improve their voice quality and volume.
- Work with patients on techniques to improve swallowing function and prevent aspiration.
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercises.
- Document progress notes and update treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques for speech and language disorders.
