Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and provide high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to help patients improve their functional abilities and independence in daily activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing treatment plans for patients.
2. Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and mobility.
3. Monitor patients' progress and report findings to the occupational therapist.
4. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions.
5. Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve daily living skills.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
8. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the provision of occupational therapy services.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
2. Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
3. Valid state license to practice as a COTA.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
7. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to patient care.
8. Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
