Job title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. The COTA will assist in developing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and educating patients on proper techniques for improving their physical and cognitive abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work closely with Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans for patients
- Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve their physical and cognitive function
- Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and research in occupational therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Must hold a valid COTA certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Physical stamina to assist patients with physical activities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
