Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with physical therapists to provide rehabilitation services to patients. Your primary goal will be to assist patients in regaining movement and managing pain through various therapeutic exercises and treatments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
2. Instruct and guide patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities.
3. Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions.
4. Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold packs.
5. Provide hands-on assistance to patients during therapy sessions.
6. Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.
7. Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
6. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility.
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
