Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - RRT (NICU/PICU)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist - RRT to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to premature infants and pediatric patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and planning patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administering and monitoring respiratory treatments and therapies
- Performing diagnostic tests to evaluate lung function
- Maintaining and troubleshooting respiratory equipment
- Educating patients and their families about respiratory conditions and treatments
- Participating in emergency response teams as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Prior experience working in a NICU/PICU setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of neonatal and pediatric respiratory care practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
