Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with physical injuries or disabilities. Your primary role will be to assist in implementing treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, and educating patients on exercises and proper body mechanics.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in evaluating patients' physical conditions and functional abilities.
2. Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
3. Provide hands-on therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed.
4. Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises for rehabilitation.
5. Document patients' progress and communicate with the therapy team.
6. Assist in maintaining equipment and treatment areas.
7. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy techniques.
6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
